Relamping - Projector Bulbs

What Is Relamping?

Once your projector lamp fails you are facing the following dilemma: buying a new replacement lamp, buying a used one or purchasing a bulb instead that can be fitted in the projector's module itself. Namely this last option is called "Relamping" and offers a cheaper alternative to buying a new one.

Relamping Options

Option 1 is to personally replace the newly purchased bulb. In this case however there is always the risk of poor quality bulbs or damaging it during installation.

Second option involving less risk and is recommended is to ship the module along with the old bulb to a company that will do the relamping for you instead. In that case the old bulb will be recycled and you are most likely to receive a warranty. For more detailed information please follow the link: www.relampit.com

In case you have decided to go for relamping please note:
  • Personally replacing a bulb may cause damage to the bulb itself or even the projector.
  • Relamping will void your projector warranty.
  • Shorter life compared with an OEM lamp.
  • Risk of purchasing a low quality bulb.
